Visualizing History
Ah, Jarry Park. The little community field that transformed into a major league ballpark overnight. While we documented the glaring issues in this episode, there was a lot of love for this venue. So many interesting stories were chronicled by SABR member Rory Costello in this excellent article.
It’s hard to capture in words how MASSIVE Olympic Stadium was as a venue for baseball. Notice the unuseable seating in the outfield and upper decks. Notice how far away fans had to sit from the reaction.
Imagine what could have been for Montreal if the 1994 season hadn’t ended prematurely. The fans never forgot!
